A Note from Us.

Because of your continued support, we’ve grown and we’re so grateful. You’ve stayed with us through leaking bottles, broken glass, defective mist tops, and exploding Freckle Paints. It’s been quite the journey. As we make some changes, we want to share the “why” behind every update.

First off, our formulas haven’t changed. They’re some of the cleanest out there, ethically sourced and made to the highest standards in Canada. What has changed is our packaging, because it needed to. We’ve made intentional updates to improve your experience and reduce our impact.

Last November, we asked 866 of you about your sustainability and packaging preferences. One thing became clear: functionality is essential. When packaging doesn’t work, sustainability doesn’t either because it just ends up as waste. So, we updated ours to better protect your product, reduce waste, and work the way you need it to.

Here’s what’s changed:

Tanning Water:
You told us you loved this product in glass, so we kept it, but sourced a stronger, high-quality option. We replaced the dropper for a finer mist, your preferred way to apply. And good news: it’s now included, no need to buy it separately. You told us the product expired before you could finish it. So, we resized the packaging to match the shelf life, making sure you and your skin always have the best experience.

Tanning Foam:
While we loved the glass, it just didn’t hold up to shipping, travel, or slippery bathroom counters. And by “didn’t hold up,” we mean it almost always leaked during shipment, resulting in disappointed customers and wasteful replacements being sent. We’ve switched to a lighter, more durable bottle made with post-consumer recycled material. It’s leak-free, travel-friendly, and easier to recycle thanks to its mono-material design. Our new packaging is 68% lighter, significantly reducing our carbon footprint, especially when transporting large amounts.

Tanning Foam Refills:
We’ve paused refills temporarily while we work on sourcing recycled aluminum to replace the virgin aluminum we were using.

Freckle Paint:
Same product, now in packaging made with post-consumer recycled materials. The switch from a clear tube to a black one has extended our shelf life by one year.

There’s been a lot of thought and intentional decision-making happening behind the scenes. Through it all, we’re about what matters most—your experience.
